DoCJ canteen in 2010 The DoCJ canteen of University of Pune served students and teachers some great s amosa and cutting chai (tea in a small glass) along with nimbu paani, vada pav, s andwich-cum-fried breads and much more. That canteen is now gone. Ramesh kaka ran the canteen when the MA(MCJ) Batch2007 were at the DoCJ. There were other actors too who were nicknamed Shah Rukh, Amitabh, Akshay, Arjun Rampal and the like. Quite a glitzy affair! Sometimes Rakesh Kaushik would complain about the chutney . Neha Madaan would complain about sugar in the coffee. Fatcat, the snooty Bengali from Kolkata, completely avoided the canteen in the first year because "it was too dirty". The canteen looked like a military shack -- with a dome above the kitchen. The shade for customers (mostly students of DoCJ and DoFL) looked like a PMT bus stop. The fence with the adjacent building reminded of farcical international borders where 'infiltrators', if you will, asked for tea
